SCHEDULING YOUR PACKAGE

All sessions in your package are scheduled at the time of purchase. We'll set your full run of sessions on the calendar together, and those sessions stay on the calendar for the life of the package.

You may reschedule an individual session under my Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy - but a rescheduled session must be moved to a new date, not left open. Refund eligibility is measured against your scheduled sessions.

OVERVIEW

Packages are purchased in full at the time of booking. Because each package reserves a recurring place on my schedule, refund eligibility depends on two things:

  • How many sessions you have completed

  • How much notice you give before your next scheduled session

HOW NOTICE IS COUNTED

Deadlines below are in calendar days, counted backward from the start time of the relevant scheduled session. The day of the session itself does not count.

Cancellation requests must be submitted take effect on the date and time received.

Scholarship Families: Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy

Sage Literacy Studio is a direct-pay Step Up For Students provider. Families using Personalized Education Program (PEP), Family Empowerment (FES-UA / FES-EO), or New Worlds Scholarship funds are warmly welcome, and the terms below explain how booking and cancellations work when sessions are funded through a scholarship. These terms supplement our standard Booking Policy; where scholarship program rules differ, the program rules govern.

Booking & Payment

Scholarship-funded packages are billed directly through the Step Up For Students platform (EMA). Families do not pay out of pocket and are not asked to front costs and wait for reimbursement. Your published package rates apply exactly as they do for all other families.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Our standard notice windows apply equally to scholarship families. Sessions cancelled or rescheduled within the required notice window remain eligible for the scheduled time, and sessions missed without adequate notice are subject to our standard no-show and late-cancellation terms as described above.

Consistent attendance is central to progress in structured literacy, and our policies are designed to protect the continuity of your child's instruction.

Refunds

In keeping with Step Up For Students program guidelines, Sage Literacy Studio cannot issue cash refunds, rebates, credits, or any direct payment of scholarship funds to a family.

Where a refund is due for unused or eligible cancelled prepaid sessions under our standard refund schedule, that amount will be returned through the Step Up For Students / EMA platform to the student's education savings account, where it remains available for other approved educational use.

The amount and timing of any eligible refund follow the same schedule that applies to all families; only the method of return differs.

WHAT COUNTS AS A COMPLETED SESSION

The initial assessment fee is not part of any package and is non-refundable once the assessment has been delivered.

Refund percentages apply to the total package price paid, not to the value of unused sessions.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.

Once a package passes its final refund milestone, it is non-refundable. Any sessions remaining may still be used.

A session counts as completed if it is attended, missed without notice, or cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice. A session rescheduled with proper notice does not count as completed until it is held.

Email hello@sageliteracystudio.com with the subject line "Package Cancellation Request." Please include:

  • Student name

  • Parent or guardian name

  • Package purchased

  • Number of sessions completed to date

  • Date and time of your next scheduled session

Your request takes effect when it arrives in my inbox,so the timestamp on your email determines your refund tier.

IN SHORT

Every package has a midpoint. Cancel before it, with proper notice, and you receive a partial refund that steps down as you use sessions. Cross it, and the package is committed.
