CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

I want every family to feel confident starting with Sage Literacy Studio — and part of that is knowing exactly what happens if your plans change.

This policy applies to all 3-, 5-, 12-, and 21-session packages.

When you cancel Refund
At least 7 full calendar days before your 1st session Full cash refund — no instruction has begun yet.
After your 1st session Cash refund for every unused session, minus the standard single-session rate for each completed session and for any session already booked within the next 7 calendar days (see below).

Refunds are always issued as cash back to your original payment method never as store credit.

If payment was made through a Step Up for Student scholarship, refunds will be issued to your EMA account.

Completed Sessions

Any session you've already had is non-refundable. Because package pricing includes a discount for committing to the full set, completed sessions are billed at the standard single-session rate (the non-package price) rather than the discounted package rate.

Sessions Within 7 Days

Any session already on the calendar to take place within 7 calendar days of your cancellation is non-refundable. This short window protects reserved time that cannot realistically be offered to another family on short notice. Sessions booked further out than 7 days are refunded in full.

Everything you haven't used comes back to you as cash or to your EMA scholarship account.

HOW YOUR REFUND IS CALCULATED

If you cancel after your first session, your refund is the amount you paid, minus the standard single-session rate for two kinds of sessions:

Example

You bought the 12-session package for $1200, and the standard single-session rate is $115. You've completed 4 sessions and have a 5th booked 3 days from now. If you decided to cancel, your refund would be calculated as follows:

  • Non-refundable: 4 completed + 1 within 7 days = 5 sessions × [standard single-session rate: $115] = [subtotal: $575]

  • Your refund: [package price: $1200] − [subtotal: $575] = [refund amount: $625]

Rescheduling individual sessions

Life happens. You can reschedule any single session at no cost with at least 3 hours' notice before its start time. A session rescheduled or cancelled with less than 3 hours' notice is counted as completed and deducted from your package.

If I ever need to reschedule (illness or emergency), that session will not be deducted from your package and will be rebooked at no penalty to you. Refund calculations are always based on each session's originally scheduled date and time, not any rescheduled date

Rescheduling policy terms are based on when the request is received — please put yours in writing.

● 3- and 5-session packages: Sessions expire 40 days after purchase.

● 12- and 21-session packages: Sessions expire 90 days after purchase.

Please book and complete all of your sessions within that window.

Sage Literacy Studio accepts the following scholarships:

● Private School Scholarship (FTC and FES-EO)

● Unique Abilities (UA) Scholarship

● Personalized Education Program (PEP) Scholarship

● New Worlds Scholarship

The cancellation and refund terms above apply to scholarship-funded sessions as well. However, all refunds are issued to your student's scholarship account, not paid to you directly.

Please put your request in writing. Your cancellation takes effect when I receive it, so the timestamp matters.
